JT Guerin

J.T. Guerin has over 20 years of experience in high-voltage battery systems and cell engineering, spanning the grid energy storage, automotive, and aviation industries.  Before joining Peregrine Energy, J.T. led Battery Systems Engineering at Fluence.  J.T. grew the team from two to over thirty engineers covering operational performance analytics, and battery pack design including launching Fluence’s first in-house designed and manufactured battery module and system.  Prior to transitioning into the grid energy storage industry, J.T. spent 15 years working on EVs where he was part of numerous General Motors electric vehicle programs, including the Chevrolet Volt, Spark-EV, and Bolt-EV.

J.T. has authored and presented multiple publications about battery systems and holds ten patents covering battery design and operation.

J.T. earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MS in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from California State University, San Marcos.
