Jonathan Schmid

Jonathan comes to Peregrine with a background in renewable energy site construction and commissioning, supervising the construction and testing of over 1.5GW of generation capacity in solar power for NextEra Energy over the last four years. Previous to that he worked at the University of Arizona as a science communicator for Steward Observatory and the Flandrau planetarium, as well as a research assistant for the South Pole Telescope Radio Astronomy lab.

Jonathan is a veteran of the US Navy, operating and maintaining the electrical distribution system on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt nuclear aircraft carrier through Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He served onboard for multiple deployments and was a primary team member for numerous Operation Reactor Safeguard Exams (ORSE).
