Matt Von Tungeln

Matt is a licensed attorney with 12 years of experience. Matt spent the first 9 years of his career focusing on oil and gas transactions, both in private practice and working in-house for Chesapeake Energy. In 2019 Matt made the transition to the renewable energy industry. Prior to joining Peregrine, Matt was Senior Development Manager Leeward Renewable Energy, where he led real estate development LRE’s Western portfolio. Matt led all greenfield siting, real estate development, title curative and sale lease back transactions for a portfolio of over 40 projects spanning, state, tribal, federal, and private lands.

Over the course of his renewable career, Matt has successfully developed over 600 MW of utility scale projects. Matt holds a B.S. from Oklahoma State University and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. In his free time Matt enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife Kristina and dog Oliver. Matt is licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and California.
